Fitting
- Spread the cover over the windscreen, black side facing out, and centre it.
- Fold the sides down over the front windows and pull the covers over the mirrors.
- Hook the four elastic straps to the front and rear wheels and pull them tight.
- Check that the magnets lie flat along the edges and the cover is taut.
- In the morning, unhook the straps, remove the cover, shake off the snow and put it away in its bag.
Why choose this windscreen frost cover
In the mountains, in regions with freezing nights or in any town where the car sleeps outside, a frozen windscreen is the problem every winter morning. Scraping takes time and can scratch the glass, hot water risks cracking it, and warming the engine up while stationary burns fuel and pollutes. A frost cover solves the problem in advance: the ice simply doesn't form on the glass.
This cover has three strong points compared with basic models. It also covers the front windows and the mirrors, so there's no need to clear them separately. It's held by four straps to the wheels and six magnets, far steadier than a cover simply trapped in the doors. And the Oxford fabric is waterproof on both sides: moisture doesn't get through.
At only 320 g, it folds up, fits in its bag and stays in the boot all winter. In summer, it works as an outside sunshade.
In the morning, take off the cover and the windscreen is clear
Ten minutes scraping ice in the dark, the engine running with the demister on full, the side windows misted up: if you park outside in winter, you know the routine. This windscreen frost cover in waterproof Oxford fabric covers the windscreen, both front side windows and the mirrors: snow, frost and ice stay on the cover, not on the glass. It measures about 260 × 114 cm, is held by 4 elastic straps to the wheels and 6 magnets, and in the morning it comes off in one move so you can set off with dry glass.
The benefits at a glance
- Covers three sides
The cover protects the windscreen and both front side windows, with two built-in mirror covers: a clear view ahead and to the sides. - Large: about 260 × 114 cm
About 260 cm at the top, 150 cm at the bottom and 114 cm high, with 49 cm side flaps. - 4 straps and 6 magnets against the wind
Four elastic straps with hooks attach to the front and rear wheels, and six magnets hold the edge flat against the bodywork: nothing lifts, even in strong wind. - Oxford fabric waterproof on both sides
The thick Oxford fabric doesn't let water through: melting snow doesn't wet the glass and nothing freezes underneath overnight. - Reflective strip
The orange or green trim and the reflective strip on the mirror covers make the car more visible at night when parked in the street. - Useful all year round
Snow and frost in winter, shade in summer, pollen, dust and leaves in spring and autumn.
