Which one should I choose?
  • One colour: if you only wash the bodywork: pick the colour you like.
  • Two colours: one for the bodywork and one for the wheels and sills, so the heaviest dirt never ends up on the paint.
How to use it
  1. Fill a bucket with water and car shampoo and, if you can, a second bucket of clean water for rinsing.
  2. Slide the mitt on up to the wrist and dip it in the soapy water.
  3. Wash from the roof downwards, in straight lines and without pressing.
  4. Rinse the mitt often in the clean water bucket; when one side is dirty, turn your hand over and use the other.
  5. When you've finished, rinse it well, wring it out gently and leave it to air dry.
Why choose this car wash mitt

Anyone who looks after their car knows it: paint suffers more at the wash than on the road. Car wash brushes and old sponges leave micro-scratches that dull the colour and show up most on dark cars. Hand washing with a long pile mitt is the method professional detailers use: the dirt is caught by the fibres instead of being dragged along.

Compared with a sponge, a mitt lets you feel the shape of the bodywork, gets under the mirrors and around the door handles more easily, and won't slip out of your hand. The two sides double the clean surface between rinses, and the elastic cuff means you don't have to grip it.

It's ideal for washing the car on the drive, in the garden or at a self-service jet wash, and works just as well after a snow foam pre-wash. After use, a rinse and a dry are all it needs: it will be ready again wash after wash.

Wash by hand without scratching the paint

Those fine circular scratches you see on the paintwork in the sun almost always come from washing: a sponge or cloth drags grains of grit back and forth across the lacquer. This microfibre car wash mitt with long pile works differently: dirt settles between the fibres and stays there until you rinse it out in the bucket. It is padded on both sides, measures about 20 × 26 cm, and its elastic cuff keeps it on your hand even when soaked.

The benefits at a glance

  • Long pile that holds the dirt
The long coral fleece microfibre strands pick up dust and grit and lift them away from the paint instead of rubbing them in.
  • Padded on both sides
The mitt is thick and works on both faces: when one side is dirty, turn your hand over and carry on.
  • Holds water and shampoo
The microfibre soaks up plenty of water and releases it onto the surface, so the paint stays lubricated and the mitt glides without friction.
  • Elastic cuff
The stretchy cuff hugs your wrist, so the mitt won't slip off, even when heavy with water.
  • The right size: about 20 × 26 cm
It covers your whole hand and a good area with every pass, yet stays easy to handle around mirrors, door handles and wheels.
  • Three colours
Blue, black or red, always with white fibres: one for the bodywork, another colour for the wheels and sills.
