Which one to choose?
- 2 L with valve and windproof nozzle: the only one with a pressure release valve: you release the pressure before opening.
- 2 L with 2 or 3 nozzles: to switch from foam to a fan jet or shower head.
- 2 L basic or white: the essential version, for a quick pre-wash.
- 2.3 L and 3 L with measuring cup: for large cars and SUVs, and precise dosing; with windproof or straight nozzle.
- With side opening: easy to fill without unscrewing the whole cap.
How to use it
- Pour in car shampoo and water at a 1:30 ratio, filling the tank about halfway.
- Screw the cap on tightly and pump the rod until you feel the tank is under pressure.
- Spray foam over the whole bodywork, from bottom to top.
- Leave it to work for a few minutes without letting it dry in the sun, then wash with a mitt and rinse.
- At the end, release the pressure (with the valve on the model that has one) and rinse the tank with clean water.
Why choose this car foam sprayer
The two-bucket method with a wash mitt only protects the paint if the heavy dirt has been softened first. That's what foam is for: it sits on the bodywork, dissolves dust, insects and road film and makes them slide off, so the mitt doesn't drag grit that leaves micro-scratches. Many people give up thinking you need a pressure washer with a foam cannon; a pump sprayer gives the same pre-wash with a tool that tucks away in a corner of the garage.
It's the right answer if you live in a flat, wash in a garage without a socket or want to pre-treat the car before the car wash. It also works on wheels, windows and wheel arches, where foam helps loosen brake dust.
What sets it apart from simple spray bottles is the chemical-resistant HDPE tank and the choice of nozzles and capacities: 2 L for a city car, 3 L for an SUV if you don't want to refill halfway through the wash.
Thick foam without a pressure washer
A proper foam pre-wash usually needs a pressure washer, a power socket and a water connection. When you wash your car in an underground car park, a courtyard or outside your block of flats, you have none of these, and you end up rubbing the dirt into the paint with a sponge. This car foam sprayer works with just the pump in the cap: fill it, pump it and cover the bodywork in foam. The HDPE tank resists acids and alkalis, so it copes with car shampoos and cleaners.
The benefits at a glance
- Hand pump, no wires
You build pressure by pumping the cap: no electricity, no battery, no garden hose. - Foam at a 1:30 ratio
One part car shampoo to 30 parts water is enough. - Extra nozzles depending on the model
As well as the foam nozzle, some models have a 55° fan nozzle and a shower-head nozzle; others have the windproof nozzle, for a more compact jet of foam outdoors. - Chemical-resistant HDPE
The tank is HDPE polyethylene, resistant to acids and alkalis: neither wheel cleaner nor alkaline pre-wash will damage it. - Reinforced pump rod
The pump rod is thicker: you build up pressure with less effort. - Three capacities: 2, 2.3 and 3 L
2 L for city cars and quick washes, 2.3 and 3 L for large cars and SUVs.
