Which one to choose?
- Faux leather: wipes clean with a damp cloth, the most practical choice if kids use it.
- Fabric: softer to the touch, for those who prefer a less smooth surface against the cheek.
- Carbon-look frame: only changes the look: the bracket has a carbon-look finish instead of plain black.
How to install
- Raise the seat headrest a little to expose the two posts.
- Place the bracket behind the headrest with the wings facing forward.
- Hook the two clamps onto the posts and tighten the hand screws until the bracket no longer moves.
- Set the gap between the wings to the width of the user’s head.
- Turn the wings to the right height; when you don’t need them, fold them beside the seat back.
Why choose this side head support
Sleeping upright in a car is uncomfortable for a simple reason: the standard headrest supports the back of the head, but not the sides. As soon as you doze off, your head drops toward the window or toward the person next to you, your neck stays bent, and half an hour later it starts to ache. Neck pillows help only a little, because they slide around and aren’t attached to anything.
This side head support tackles the problem at the source. The two wings are fixed to the seat headrest, so they stay where you put them and keep the head centered, even on bends. The memory foam gives without pressing, and the adjustable gap lets a child use it on the way to your vacation and an adult on the way home.
When you don’t need it, it stays out of the way: the wings fold beside the seat back and the bracket sits discreetly behind the headrest. It goes on and comes off by hand in seconds, so you can move it from one seat to another, front or back, or from one car to the next.
Sleep in the car without your head falling to the side
On long trips, whoever sits in the passenger seat or in the back falls asleep sooner or later, and the head slides toward the window or forward. You wake up with a stiff, sore neck. This adjustable side head support attaches to the headrest posts and adds two padded memory foam wings that hold the head steady on both sides, like an airplane seat. The gap between the wings adjusts from 15 to 27 cm (6 to 10.6 in), so it suits kids and adults, and when you don’t need it the wings rotate and fold flat beside the seat back.
